Abstract

This study aimed to identify the concepts of incentive management and their impact on employee performance in commercial banks. It sought to reveal the impact of incentive planning and organization on performance, as well as to determine the level of directing and controlling incentives and their effects on employees. The research problem centered on the following main question: What is the impact of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling incentives on employee performance in commercial banks?

The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach for data characterization. The study hypothesized the existence of statistically significant relationships between administrative leadership and motivation levels, and between different leadership styles (Autocratic, Democratic, and Situational) and employee performance.

The study population consisted of a sample of employees from commercial banks in the Blue Nile Region. A total of (114) questionnaires were distributed to managers, department heads, customer service officers, and tellers; (114) questionnaires were retrieved, achieving a response rate of 100%.

The results indicated that commercial banks in the region implement effective incentive systems and that incentive elements have a positive impact. Furthermore, the findings showed a strong correlation between incentives and job performance, noting that organized incentive procedures contribute to achieving performance excellence and better goal alignment. Additionally, effective control over incentives enhances employee performance levels. The study recommended exerting more effort into developing incentive systems and urged management's commitment to using appropriate methods for directing motivation based on employee performance
