The Relationship Between Occupational Health and Safety and Employee Job Satisfaction: An Applied Study on Al-Nabaa Company for Production and Catering Services

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the extet t of occupational health and safety on the job satisfaction of employees at Al-Naba’ Production and Supply Services Company. The study focused on the extent to which occupational health and safety standards are applied within the company under study، whether there is sufficient training for human resources، as well as the level of awareness and guidance provided.

The study adopted the descriptive analytical method and the field study approach، through designing a questionnaire to collect data from a random sample of 108 employees selected from the total study population of 149 employees، representing 60%، which is an adequate and reliable percentage for analysis. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for data analysis.

The study concluded that there is no deficiency in the application of safety standards، and that there is noticeable interest in training to avoid errors and ensure workers’ safety. The results also indicated a strong relationship between job satisfaction and occupational health and safety، which reflects a sufficient level of job satisfaction among employees in the company under study. This has contributed to making the company one of the leading firms in the field of water manufacturing and bottling at the national level in terms of quality.

The study recommended the need to enhance job satisfaction and maintain the current level of attention to occupational health and safety، supported by full commitment and backing from top management.
