Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of educational problems faced by secondary school students and to examine whether there are statistically significant differences based on gender, academic specialization, classroom density, and school type. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and utilized a questionnaire consisting of 41 items. The sample included 100 male and female students randomly selected from secondary schools in Souq Al-Khamis – Al-Khums during the academic year (2023–2024).

The findings revealed that the level of educational problems ranged from moderate to high among the participants. Curriculum-related issues were ranked as the most prominent problems, followed by school environment, academic achievement, school violence and exam anxiety,. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) attributed to gender, academic specialization, classroom density, or school type. This suggests that these problems are widespread among different groups of students.

Based on these findings, the study recommended developing school curricula, improving the school environment, enhancing psychological and educational counseling services, training teachers in modern teaching strategies, strengthening school-family collaboration, and conducting further studies in this field.
