Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of organizational commitment in enhancing the efficiency of sustainable institutional performance. The study population consisted of employees at the General Authority for the Social Solidarity Fund (Sof-al-Jin Branch). A simple random sample of (90) individuals was selected, while the unit of analysis comprised employees across administrative levels (top, middle, and low). The questionnaire was adopted as the primary tool for data collection.
The results of the study—through identifying the study variables in their various dimensions and using statistical analysis indicators (mean, standard deviation, and relative importance) —showed that the responses were generally low. Regarding the dependent variable, "Sustainable Institutional Performance Efficiency," it achieved a moderate degree and moderate relative importance. As for the independent variable, "Organizational Commitment," the dimensions of (normative commitment and continuance commitment) ranged from moderate to low, while the (affective commitment) dimension ranked second in terms of relative importance. Furthermore, the main hypothesis testing proved a statistically significant effect of organizational commitment, with its dimensions (affective, normative, and continuance), on the efficiency of sustainable institutional performance.
The study recommended creating an appropriate and encouraging climate for establishing positive work relationships among employees, which would enhance the level of commitment to the institution. It also suggested developing institutional programs—particularly knowledge-based ones—in line with developments in institutional structure and sustainability. Additionally, it emphasized expanding partnerships with both the public and private sectors to exchange benefits and maximize interests in pursuit of sustainable development programs, as well as raising the skill levels of employees through training courses and seminars to achieve sustainable development goals.
