Abstract

Italy's use of harsh tactics and authoritarian policies since 1911 has prompted many Libyan individuals and groups to seek refuge in neighboring countries. However, despite leaving their homeland, these Libyans remained dedicated to their cause by maintaining their obligations towards their country and people. Consequently, they pursued various avenues of resistance with the assistance of fellow Arab exiles primarily located in Egypt, Tunisia, the Levant, and other regions. These collective efforts resulted in the formation of political structures that played a crucial role in ending Italy's presence in Libya as well as addressing wider issues faced by Libya as a whole.
