Author Self-Archiving Policy
The LOUJMSS supports authors in disseminating their research widely and recognizes the value of author self-archiving. The journal's policy would likely align with what is known as "Green Open Access."
-
Pre-print Archiving: Authors are typically permitted to deposit the pre-print version of their manuscript (the version before peer review) in an institutional repository, a subject-specific repository (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv), or on their personal website at any time.
-
Post-print Archiving: Authors are generally allowed to deposit the post-print version of their manuscript (the final, peer-reviewed version, but not the professionally typeset PDF) in an institutional or subject-specific repository immediately after publication.
-
Publisher's PDF: Authors are usually not permitted to post the final, professionally typeset PDF of the article on repositories or websites, except for their own personal webpage.
-
Conditions for Archiving: When self-archiving, authors should always provide a full citation to the published article and, if possible, include a link to the official version on the LOUJMSS website.
This policy helps ensure that research is both permanently preserved and broadly accessible, while also maintaining the integrity of the published version of record.
