Plagiarism Policy
The Libyan Open University Journal of Medical Sciences and Sustainability (LOUJMSS) is committed to publishing only original and ethical research. The journal considers plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and any form of academic misconduct to be serious ethical violations.
To ensure the originality of all submissions, the journal would implement the following policy:
-
Screening Process: All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or Plagiarism Checker X. This is a mandatory step in the editorial process.
-
Plagiarism Threshold: The acceptable similarity index for any submitted manuscript must be less than 20%. Any manuscript with a similarity score equal to or greater than this threshold will be automatically rejected.
-
Definition of Plagiarism: Plagiarism is the use of others' work, ideas, or words without proper citation and acknowledgment. This includes re-using one's own previously published work without citation, known as self-plagiarism.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are entirely their own original work and that all sources are properly credited.
