Peer Review Policy
The LOUJMSS is committed to a rigorous and fair peer-review process to ensure the scientific validity and quality of all submissions. The journal utilizes a double-blind peer review system, which means that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential throughout the entire evaluation process.
The purpose of the peer review is to obtain expert feedback and recommendations that guide the editorial team in making a final decision. The process typically involves the following steps:
-
Initial Screening: Upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief or an Associate Editor conducts an initial review to ensure the manuscript fits the journal's scope and meets basic quality and ethical standards.
-
Reviewer Selection: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two external experts in the relevant field. These reviewers are selected based on their expertise and lack of a conflict of interest.
-
Evaluation: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on several key criteria, including its originality, methodology, clarity of presentation, and scientific rigor. They provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.
-
Final Decision: The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on whether to accept, request revisions for, or reject a manuscript, based on the recommendations from the reviewers.
