Copyright Policy
The LOUJMSS operates under a policy that ensures both the protection of authors' rights and the broad dissemination of scholarly work.
-
Authors Retain Copyright: Authors who publish in the journal retain the copyright to their work. This gives them the right to reuse their article in future works, provided they acknowledge the initial publication in the LOUJMSS.
-
Grant of License: While authors hold the copyright, they grant the journal the exclusive right of first publication. The journal then licenses the article to the public under an open-access license.
-
Open-Access Licensing: All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows others to copy, distribute, and build upon the work, even for commercial purposes, as long as they provide proper credit to the original authors and the LOUJMSS.
This policy ensures that articles are freely and immediately available to a global audience, while still protecting the authors' ownership of their intellectual property.
