The study aims to identify the role of social planning in eliminating problems associated with development and change processes. It attempts to enrich the theoretical material and add value to the treatments and contributions in the field of social planning in eliminating problems associated with social change. To achieve the study's objectives, the researcher followed a descriptive and analytical approach, reviewing literature, sources, and references in the fields of social planning, social problems, development, and change. The study's results revealed the importance of planning's role in eliminating societal problems, the social planner's use of scientific methods, and the importance of establishing projects and holding seminars and conferences to highlight the importance of modern and strategic planning. The study concluded with a set of recommendations, including the need to address problems that hinder development with a general level of seriousness and realism, whether by specialists or society as a whole. It also highlighted the need to focus on the modern aspects of development, scientific research, and the technical aspects of social planning.
