This study aimed to identify the level of psychological burnout among female psychological specialists working in mixed primary and secondary schools in Gulf of Sidra Municipality during the academic year 2025–2026. It also sought to examine the differences in burnout levels according to age, specialization, and years of experience. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach and applied the Christina Maslach Burnout Inventory on a sample consisting of (20) female psychological specialists.
The results revealed that the level of psychological burnout among the participants was relatively high due to the professional and emotional pressures associated with the nature of psychological work. The findings also indicated the existence of significant differences in burnout levels according to age and years of experience, in favor of younger and less experienced specialists, while no significant differences were found according to specialization. In light of these findings, the study recommended the importance of providing psychological and counseling support programs and developing coping skills for professional stress in order to enhance mental health and professional efficiency among female psychological specialists.
