This study addressed the issue of unemployment among graduates of agricultural specializations with the aim of highlighting the most prominent factors that contribute to its high rates and analyzing the resulting economic and social effects. The study was based on a sample of 180 graduates and adopted the descriptive and analytical method as the main research framework, with the use of questionnaires as a tool to collect the necessary data. The study concluded that unemployment among this group is mainly due to the limited number of suitable job opportunities, the preference for foreign labor over local labor, in addition to the graduates' refusal to accept jobs with low wages and the weakness of agricultural projects within Libya. The results also revealed the lack of experience of graduates and the absence of orientation towards specializations that match the needs of the labor market, which has exacerbated the problem. The study showed that unemployment does not only lead to economic crises, but also carries serious social and psychological consequences, as many unemployed youth suffer from problems such as depression and feelings of inferiority, and some are forced to work in fields that do not suit their specializations.
