Open Access Policy

The Libyan Open University Journal of Applied Sciences (LOUJAS) is a fully open-access journal. This policy ensures that all research published in the journal is freely and immediately available to a global audience, with no subscription fees or access barriers.

Core Principles

• Free Availability: All articles are published online and can be read, downloaded, and shared by anyone, anywhere, at no cost. This promotes the widespread dissemination of scientific knowledge and accelerates research progress.

• Copyright and Licensing: LOUJAS operates under the principle that authors retain the copyright to their work. To facilitate open access, all published articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License (CC BY 4.0).

  • This license allows users to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) for any purpose, including commercially.

  • The only requirement is that users must give appropriate credit to the original authors and the journal, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.

• No Publication Fees: The journal does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs) or submission fees. This ensures that the decision to publish is based solely on the scientific quality of the work and not on the authors' ability to pay.
