This research addresses the pioneering experience of the Libyan Center for Archives and Historical Studies in collecting and documenting oral narratives and presenting them as a source of past historical events. This research is considered the first of its kind in this field, aiming to present the experience in full detail through accurate statistics, tables, and figures prepared by the researcher. The research also does not overlook the scientific framework in terms of comparison and analysis, presenting a model that combines written material and samples of oral narratives about the Battle of Qordabiya.
This presentation led the researcher to use the quantitative statistical method at the source material level, resulting in varied and different outcomes that include general and specific observations about the center's experience. These can be used to develop and frame that effort. Additionally, the use of the quantitative method provided new results and facts about the Battle of Qordabiya that differ from those previously prevalent.
