This study aimed to identify the role of interactive teaching methods in developing learning motivation and motor engagement among physical education students at the Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education, University of Beni Waleed, as well as to determine the nature of the relationship and impact between the study variables. To achieve the research objectives, the study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection from a sample of ( N=30 ) students from the university's Faculty of Education. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (means, standard deviations, and relative weights) alongside inferential statistics, including Pearson correlation coefficients and simple linear regression analysis.
The results revealed that interactive teaching methods, learning motivation, and motor engagement all achieved high evaluation levels among the sample members. Furthermore, the results demonstrated a strong, positive, and statistically significant correlation coefficient of ( 0.842 ) between interactive teaching methods and both learning motivation and motor engagement. Regression analysis showed that interactive teaching methods account for ( 70.900% ) of the variance in developing learning motivation and motor engagement among students, with a total ( F ) value of ( 62.150 ) at a significance level of ( 0.000 ). In light of these findings, the study recommended expanding the application of interactive teaching strategies—such as problem-solving and guided discovery—in practical lectures, intensifying immediate feedback mechanisms to help correct motor performance, reducing errors, and enhancing students' sustained motivation. Additionally, it recommended holding periodic training workshops for faculty members to enhance classroom interaction skills.
