The Concept of Justice in Islam- An Analytical Philosophical Study

Abstract

This study examines the concept of justice in Islam through a philosophical and analytical approach, highlighting its doctrinal, ethical, and legislative foundations as well as its major dimensions and practical applications. Using the descriptive-analytical method, the research analyzes Islamic sources alongside the views of prominent Muslim philosophers and traces the evolution of justice from classical philosophy to the Islamic perspective.

The study explores the social, economic, political, and judicial dimensions of justice and discusses the contributions of Al-Farabi, Ibn Miskawayh, Al-Ghazali, and Ibn Rushd. It concludes that justice in Islam is a comprehensive framework rooted in divine revelation, aiming to safeguard human dignity, social stability, and sustainable development. The findings also demonstrate that the Islamic conception of justice remains relevant for addressing many contemporary challenges.
